Privacy, Cookie and Pixel Tag Policy

Hoplon is committed to protecting the online privacy of visitors to our virtual environments. This Policy applies to the website and online services provided by Hoplon and complies with the Data Protection Directive of the European Union and the United States Department of Commerce. The purpose of this Policy is to inform you about the types of information we collect about you during your visit to our environments, how we can use that information, and how we disclose it to third parties.

By accessing and using the www.heavymetalmachines.com and www.hoplon.com websites, your use indicates your agreement to the terms of this Policy. If you do not agree to this Policy, we kindly request that you do not use the Site. If you are under 18, you must read and accept these terms together with your parents or your legal guardian.

1. Collected Information

Personal Information

In various sections of our sites, such as registration forms, surveys and polls, we may request that you provide “personal information” to us, such as your full name, username, email address, home address and/or home or business telephone number. You will always know when we collect personal information, because we do so only when you voluntarily send it to us through our online forms in secure environments (indicated by the padlock icon on your browser).

While you are not required to provide us with any information to visit our websites, you might not be able to fully use every service if you choose not to provide certain information.

Non-personal Information

When you use our websites, we may also collect “non-personal information.” This is data that, in and of itself, alone, cannot be used to identify or contact you, such as demographic data – your age, gender, education, profession, postal code, etc. Non-personal information may also include technical data, such as your IP address, the type of browser you use, the websites you visit immediately before and after you visit our pages, and other anonymous data about your usage of our websites. Non-personal information may also include data that you provide to us through your use of our website.

Online Purchases

We collect personal information when you purchase products through our online shopping process (when available) in secure environments (indicated by the padlock icon on your browser). For example, before we process your orders, we request that you provide your full name, username, registered email address, contact information, a credit card or bank account number and, when necessary, a delivery address. In addition, we store information about your transactions with us to comply with current legislation, which requires us to have this data to issue bills of sale and other legal documents. We may use the information you provide to communicate with you about purchased products and provide targeted support related to these products.

Cookies and Pixel Tags

Like several other service websites, we use “cookies” and “pixel tags” to enhance your visits to our websites. A cookie is a small amount of data sent to your browser when you access our websites that is stored on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies do not store personal information unless you intentionally provide them. They store non-personal information, such as the websites or pages that your browser accessed immediately before and after arriving at our site, or how you browsed through our environments.

A pixel tag is a feature used to understand the behavior of users visiting a page. This behavior generates non-personal information such as the IP address of the computer that requested the service, the time this was done, the time taken and the type of browser used.

Hoplon use cookies and pixel tags to customize your experience on our sites, allowing us to deliver the type of content and relevant products that our customers generally seek, and for communication focused on our customers. For example, cookies allow us to recognize your browser as a previous visitor, and thus save and remember any preferences that may have been set when you previously browsed here. Our cookies may also store information that you have entered into a “shopping cart.”

Most browsers can be configured to notify you when a cookie is being placed on your computer, or even to refuse cookies (which automatically blocks pixel tags), although this may affect your online experience. For example, since cookies are used to track shopping cart items through the options the user selects, you would not be able to make a purchase without them.

You can delete cookies that are already on your computer. For more information on how to configure cookie options, see your browser’s “Help” section.

Social Platforms

On several occasions during your interaction with our websites, we offer the option to integrate your navigation with social platforms such as Facebook or Twitter. Read the privacy policies specific to these social platforms, since this Privacy Policy does not cover any publication on those platforms about your activities on our pages.
